I've heard nothing but good things about going to True North for doing a water fast. Does anyone have any information to share with me about this facility? Any bad experiences to tell me about? I have Lupus (SLE) and heard of positive results for treating Lupus with a water fast.
Since February I've taken the following out of my diet: wheat, meat, sweeteners, vinegar, caffeine, alcohol. I eat mostly a plant based diet, as well as beans and nuts. My symptoms have greatly improved ; but feeling like I need a little extra to do some deep healing. Any information regarding Lupus and water fast, as well as True North is apprectiated.
In case you haven't heard of it and want more info...

Re: Water fast for Lupus and Nephritis
Sun, November 13, 2005 - 6:22 PMI have SLE also (diagnosed 20 years ago). I have recently started looking at nutrition also. Check my recent tribe.net blog entry -- and I'd be interested in seeing you on lupuslupus.tribe.net!
I can't understand why my pediatric rheumatologist didn't suggest a nutritionist when he put me on concurrent courses of prednisone, clinoril, tetracycline and other drugs (and then said I'd have to be on prophylactic antibiotics for the rest of my life after the double-spleenectomy).
